Food for Thought: documentary and discussion series

LFS|US and My Green Space™ are hosting a free documentary and discussion series “Food for Thought” starting next Wednesday, October 5th at 6pm in MCML Room 160. The documentary that will be screened is called “Inhabit”. It introduces permaculture as a design method that can solve a variety of issues related to agriculture, economics, and governance, from an ecological lens. The film is a call to action, and highlights projects, concepts and people that show what is possible with permaculture. Check out the trailer here: http://inhabitfilm.com/

The goal of the documentary and discussion series is to learn about our complex food system, and tangible ways students can improve it by starting conversations about food on campus. My Green Space™ is a mobile app that helps anyone grow their own food with confidence and builds community through a shared love for healthy people and a healthy planet. They are partnering with LFS|US because they want to engage with the students within the food community at UBC. LFS|US is the elected student body that works to engage students in the opportunities available to them at UBC and beyond. Learn more about the LFS|US at http://lfsusubc.wixsite.com/main
